Handcrafted dark Bamboo Walking Cane Flutes made in the Berkshires Hills of Stockbridge, Massachusetts. Light yet very strong, our Bamboo Walking Cane Flutes are intended for use by anyone in need of a walking cane for support or for those searching for a unique and stylish walking cane. 

Each Bamboo Walking Cane Flute has a brass handle (choice of four styles), leather hand strap and replaceable heavy rubber tip on the bottom (extra tips available). The exterior of our Bamboo Walking Cane Flute has a beautiful tortoise-shell-like finish developed by us over our nearly 50 years of working with bamboo wood. This is a unique finish that really sets our walking canes apart from all others. The dark bamboo wood contrasts beautifully with the brass handle to create a very distinguished looking walking cane. We protect the exterior of our Bamboo Walking Cane Flutes with a coat of durable waterproof Polyurethane. 

Located in the middle of each Bamboo Walking Cane Flute is a well-tuned six-hole flute. Just turn the walking cane sideways and start singing with the birds! The sound is incredible!

All of the Bamboo Flutes and Walking Stick Flutes made by Serenity Bamboo are transverse flutes. They are played sideways like a concert metal flute.

Each Bamboo Walking Cane Flute is individually tuned to a major scale (G) and they play a range of 1 1/2 to 2 octaves. A Bamboo Walking Cane Flute would make the perfect flute gift for that aspiring flutist or anyone who enjoys playing musical instruments. Great for jam sessions!

Included with each purchase are free instructions explaining how to play our Bamboo Walking Cane Flute. We also offer a play-by-number Song Book containing 50 simple songs for a small additional charge. 

Choice Of Brass Cane Handles

Our Bamboo Walking Cane Flute has a brass handle with your choice of four styles to choose from (see photo above). The brass handles are interchangeable and can be unscrewed from the walking cane flute. 

• 'Regency' cane handles are by far the most comfortable of our brass cane handles. It is the best choice for anyone relying on a walking cane for support.
• 'Eagle' cane handles are the next most comfortable cane handle. If you will be applying a moderate amount of pressure on the walking cane then this handle should be fine for you.
• 'Cobra' and 'Ball' cane handles are the least comfortable if you need the support of a cane for walking but are very stylish looking.

Walking Cane Flute Length

Unless otherwise specified, we ship our Bamboo Walking Cane Flutes cut to 36 inches (91cm). We will gladly cut our walking canes longer or shorter at no extra cost. To order a cane size other then 36 inches (91cm) please enter the length required in the 'Cane Length' area found above with our other walking cane options. If you already own one of our custom walking canes and need to cut it, please call or email us for easy instructions.

Sizing a Walking Cane

It is very important for anyone who must rely on a cane for support while walking to have a properly sized walking cane. 'Serenity' Bamboo Walking Cane Flute 

In April of 2000, to commemorate our 25th year in business, Linda created our 'Serenity' Bamboo Walking Cane design. Linda engraves a solid dark bamboo walking stick flute with the Chinese character meaning 'Serenity' and a dragonfly, the Chinese symbol for good luck. She then hand inks each design in gold using high quality permanent ink. The gold etchings against the solid dark bamboo wood is very striking.
